Well, certainly seems like March is "in like a lion!"

One of the expressions that always intrigued me growing up pertained to March weather.  Not sure if was nursery schools rhymes (for example "April showers bring May flowers.  And what do Mayflowers bring? A: PILGRIMS!) or what, but I vividly remember having to know that March "comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb."

It doesn't take a rocket scientists to deduce it sayings meaning, and if the forecasts are right about this week's storm, Winter 2016/2017 will definitely go out with a bang,

Now, we can debate whether or not weather forecasting should be more accurate that it currently is during another post, but the reports are off the charts --- with some models having us at a 70% chance of 1 to 3 inches and others saying that the DC region can get up to 18, if conditions "worsen" prior to Monday evening.

I for one love a good snowstorm so am keeping my fingers crossed that we get dumped on!

Here is a fun read on the expression:  http://farmersalmanac.com/weather/2010/03/01/the-truth-behind-in-like-a-lion-out-like-a-lamb/

Have fun if we get a Snowday!
